Development and implementation carrier decision table

One of our customers is a leader in Industrial Automation and we have been able to develop and implement smart and efficient projects to control and manage their year over year increasing parcel volume of more than 50.000 parcels per year to destinations worldwide. Not only did we implement a 3 year tender cycle to challenge the large integrators to quote their best prices for the package, but we also implemented smart IT solutions for consolidation and service selection. For our tender capabilities we refer to RFQ Tender management tools & Support, but now we want to highlight another tool 2ThinkLogic has developed for this customer and is named carrier decision table.
The carrier decision table has shown to be a very powerful tool which helped our customer to make double digit savings by controlling the parcel shipment specifics like:
- Country – Service level – Carrier specific to make sure most competitive carrier to be used
- Using Standard service level as the industry standard
- Supporting different service levels from Standard to Express Courier
- Smart order cut offs to maximize consolidation in Nr of parcels & box utilization
- Virtual parcel consolidation of multiple order releases
